OUR POLICY WORK
We’re developing and advocating for Australian-specific policies aimed at solving this century’s most challenging problems.
We care about the Australian community, and we think the Australian community wants our political leaders to take meaningful action to combat the big challenges Australia and the world are facing.
We have partnered with Good Ancestors Policy, led by Greg Sadler, to build relationships across Australia and the region and empower people to advocate for the values that matter to them in a coordinated and savvy way.
Our policy work
Good Ancestors Policy seeks to engage all levels of government and civil society on this century’s biggest challenges.
One way we do this is by responding to formal inquiries that touch on the issues we consider have the most impact. In addition to assessing the potential for positive impact, we also consider how tractable each opportunity might be (how likely the outcomes of an inquiry are to be shaped by our arguments). Generally, government calling an inquiry means it's genuinely interested in hearing views. We think there’s a good chance that clearly stated policy, backed by evidence and reason, will be adopted on its merits.
Our thanks go to our policy partners who have assisted in these processes.
