Background

The Western Australia Government commissioned an independent review on the WA COVID-19 response. Views were sought from the public sector, industry, businesses, and the community to inform the review panel’s recommendations to inform current and future WA governments’ pandemic preparedness. Our submission

GAP made a submission calling attention to the acute risk of future pandemics and urging for proportionate investments in prevention and preparedness. Recommendations included planning and exercising for unknown pathogens, routine sequencing for influenza-like illness, and investing in ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVC) pilots.
